Villa Palm Tree

On route to this building (one of many in a large complex) we ended up trying to fight our way through a bamboo forest - not easy at all! This whole site was purchased and repurposed into a psychiatric hospital by the parents of a child with learning difficulties in the nineteenth century.

This particular building was originally a Villa & it is set in a stunning location with gorgeous vista views and even palm trees in front of the balcony windows. It has certainly seen better days and its been heavily vandalised - but that doesn't take anything away from the incredible artwork on the ceiling and the sense of grandeur from the original design.
