Villa L

From the outside this is an unimposing manor house in the countryside on the outskirts of a village surrounded by fields and small roads. But inside lies a room that will forever remain one of the most magical I will ever witness. The hallway - which originally would have been accessed by a stunning door with stained glass - is covered floor to ceiling in breathtaking frescoes. The hazy atmosphere inside actually allows you to really appreciate the beauty of the artwork.

The rest of the building is fairly ordinary, with the exception of another fresco-ed ceiling on the floor directly above the hall. In any other place it would be an exceptional discovery. One of my hopes with this trip to Italy was to witness this unique style of beautiful interior design & Villa L provided one I will always cherish seeing.
