Villa Becker

My first experience of a beautiful Italian Villa was a magical one - up a steep hill lies this wonderful place. Starting on the ground floor, the ceiling arcs with bright colours which lights the entrance hall despite having the windows boarded up. A magnificent set of stairs lead to a long hallway with equally stunning patterns surrounding the chains hanging down where once a chandelier probably lived.

This leads to the most impressive room of them all - the main living room is full of jewels, most notably the circular skylight. From this room the Villa has a prestigious view over the city. Tucked away at the back, it even has its own little chapel. Once this place would have been utterly magnificent - it still is in the eyes of the explorer.
