This coastal asylum was active for a hundred years from the late 19th century. It has stunning architecture, coupled with the early evening glow coming through by the time we arrived. This location had been high on my list for a long time & I was excited to shoot the huge staircase that powers through the centre.

Sadly the place has been been hit heavily by graffiti over the years - it's mindless stuff, so I've taken the liberty of removing it from many photos, whilst leaving the artwork intact. I wish there was a bit more respect shown to these buildings, especially with such significant (if often dark) histories.
