Manicomio di R (Part 1)

This asylum was top of my list for 2020 & is a place I'd been dreaming of seeing for some time - it did not disappoint! Built over 150 years ago, this large facility boasts some of the finest architecture of any abandoned location in the world.

This first gallery covers the start of my explore in the morning, with the gorgeous early sun lighting the long hallways in a magnificent way. In the darker centre of the building is an operating room with all its equipment. I've included a shot of chairs beneath a window, taken at two different times of the day, showing how beautiful the light was at both moments.
