Art Deco Power Plant (Station Area)

Besides the control room, there is a lot more to love about this location. The curved stairwells are just as impressive from the outside as they are on the inside. And great fun to photograph. Then there are endless dark corridors full of electrical transformers & true to the style of the building, everything is ornately designed.

Beyond this section of the power station lies an active part. Connecting it, is a giant turbine hall which appears to be partially dismantled. It was not possible to climb down for a closer look but it was not really necessary, given that I had an amazing vantage point to take a panoramic shot, which begins to convey the size.
