Sanatorium Iveria

We arrived in Georgia in the middle of the night & our guest house was opposite Sanatorium Iveria. Seeing it in the darkness left me tingling with anticipation to get started & we were blessed with a gorgeous sunny morning that lit this magical place in the most sublime way. It was top of my list & is the poster location for this town with the famous hole in the floor where the balustrades are missing. Due for renovation, we were lucky not to see any builders that day & had total freedom not only to photography this building but also to experience it. We were so taken with it that we returned late at night to see it's evening glory!

Full of beautiful staircases, long hallways & fine architectural finishes there is much to love about Sanatorium Iveria. And blue is my favourite colour!
