Johannisthal Airfield

One of the oldest in Germany, the airfield at Johannisthal is now a park. The hangars, watchtower and industrial area remain abandoned. The area is huge & not in great condition. But it was a fascinating tour - one that remains incomplete. As we waited for sunset, we discovered abruptly that we were not alone... What followed was about half an hour of evasion and escape!
