Berlin International Congress Centre

Berlin International Congress Centre opened in 1979 & is over 300 metres long. It remained open until 2004 when it was closed due to asbestos contamination. The cost of removal has proved prohibitive in getting this huge venue open again.

Opportunities to visit are rare so on this occasion it was the chance to admire the architecture from the outside. Next door to the ICC is overlooked by the Funkturm Berlin (Berlin Radio Tower) standing 147 metres tall & remains a major icon of Berlin.
